Reopening Studio1212 Esthetics – “Do it again, but do it better”
Before I ever made the decision to re‑open Studio1212 Esthetics, God whispered something to me that I didn’t fully understand at the time. He said, “Do it again, but do it better.” I didn’t know what “better” meant yet. I didn’t know what it would require. But I knew it was Him — so I took the first steps. I established my business here in Texas, and I found a mentor. I didn’t have one the first time around, and God made it clear that this season wouldn’t be built alone.
What I didn’t realize then was that God was about to take me on a journey that mirrored a chapter I never expected: Isaiah 23.
The Background of Tyre
As I studied Isaiah 23, I learned about the city of Tyre — a proud, wealthy trading port that sold its goods to the world for self‑enrichment rather than loyalty to God. They trusted in their ships, their wealth, their global reach. Their success made them self‑reliant, and their self‑reliance made them forget the One who blessed them.
Because of that, God allowed their structures to fall. Not to destroy them — but to humble them. Not to end their influence — but to purify it.
And suddenly, the chapter didn’t feel distant anymore. It felt like my story.
My Two‑Year Shutdown: A Modern Tyre
Studio1212 didn’t just close — God closed it. My two‑year shutdown became my own period of silence, just like Tyre’s. It was a forced pause that broke old habits, ungodly dependencies, and unstable models I didn’t even realize I was operating from.
It was uncomfortable. It was humbling. It was quiet. But it was necessary.
God dismantles old structures to humble pride — and He did that in me. He stripped away every place where I relied on my own strength, my own hustle, my own ideas, and my own ability to provide. He broke my self‑reliance so He could rebuild my dependence.
The Relocation: Dallas as New Ground
When God moved me to Dallas, it wasn’t just a change of address. It was a repositioning. A fresh market. A clean slate. A place where I could build without the weight of past failures or limitations. It was God saying, “I’m giving you new ground — now plant differently.”
The Shift in Motive
Isaiah 23 ends with a picture of commerce being restored, but with a new heart behind it — not for self, but for service. That’s exactly what God did in me.
Studio1212 is no longer about chasing profit or proving myself. This time, it’s a vessel of provision — for my family, for the women I serve, for future employees, and for the community I’m called to impact.
My business is not mine. My gifts and talents are not mine. Everything I build belongs to the Lord and is for kingdom growth.
Relying on the Lord First
In my first season of Studio1212, I didn’t realize how much I leaned on marketing tactics, trends, pressure, and performance. I depended on what I could produce instead of the One who gave me the gift.
This time around, I’m relying on the Lord first — not algorithms, not strategies, not worldly ways of attracting people. I’m building from obedience, not ambition. From trust, not striving.
Studio1212 is being rebuilt on dependence, not performance. On surrender, not self. On God, not me.
A Renewed Commercial Purpose
My season of closure wasn’t a setback — it was a refining. God used those two years to shift my enterprise from self‑reliance to a higher, outward‑focused calling. He renewed my commercial purpose and aligned it with provision, impact, and service.
My shutdown didn’t end my business. It purified it. It aligned it. It prepared it for what’s coming next.
Welcome to the New Studio1212 Esthetics
This re‑opening isn’t me “trying again.” It’s me obeying again.
It’s me trusting that what God resurrects, He sustains. It’s me believing that the pause was preparation, not punishment. It’s me stepping into a business that is no longer built on my strength, but on His.
